HỘI AN — Trà Quế vegetable village in the ancient town of Hội An has introduced its newest brand identity design logo to boost sustainable tourism and heritage preservation at the UNESCO-recognised world heritage site of Hội An.
The provincial department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said the new brand design was created with support from the Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development project in Việt Nam (ST4SD) by the Swiss Co-operation Office of the Embassy of Switzerland in Việt Nam.
Nguyễn Quốc Dân, the designer of the new brand logo, shared that the design was made from the culture and landscape of the village.

He said it combines the traditional vegetable village with the value of the world heritage site of Hội An’s Old Quarter, the beauty of local farmers, a boat at sea and a torch featuring the leading destination in sustainable tourism development.
Dân said the logo means that the space is not limited in the village boundary, but the expansion of the world heritage value among international and domestic travellers.
Trà Quế vegetable village, which was awarded as the Best Tourism Village 2024 by UN Tourism, has remained as one of the most favourite garden destinations three kilometres from the UNESCO-recognised world heritage site of the Old Quarter of Hội An.
The village is currently home to 202 families with 326 farmers growing different kinds of herbs and vegetables on 18ha.
Its herbs are used for local specialties at restaurants and resorts in Hội An and Đà Nẵng as well as providing farming experience for tourists.
The eco-agri-tourism village has preserved its traditional crafts and lifestyle, while remaining a unique culture with hospitality as well as environment-friendly farming since the 16th century.
A report from Hội An unveiled that 23 home-stay service and 16 restaurants have been developed in the village to offer cooking classes, farm-stays and vegetable farming experience tour services for both domestic and foreign tourists.

Trà Quế vegetable garden is a suburban destination in Hội An that includes Thanh Hà pottery village, Cẩm Thanh nipa-palm village, a corn farm in Cẩm Nam village and Cẩm Kim carpentry village are favourite options for travellers after the Old Quarter in Hội An town.
In 2022, the ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recognised the village in the list of national intangible heritage.
The village hosted 34,000 visitors last year, of which 33,000 (95.5 per cent) were international guests.
The Swiss Government-funded ST4SD project aims to promote and support the sustainable development of tourism in Hà Giang, Quảng Nam and Đồng Tháp provinces.
Quảng Nam province targets to receive 8.4 million tourists, including 5.7 million international arrivals, in 2025.
Hội An alone welcomed 1.28 million visitors including 1.1 international travellers in the first quarter of 2025. —VNS
